  NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. -- Sophomore defenseman Jeff Caron has left Merrimack to play for the expansion Saint John (New Brunswick) Sea Dogs of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL).

  WAKEFIELD, Mass.-- Junior defenseman Bryan Schmidt (Bloomington, Minn.) was named to the Hockey East All-Star Team for the 2004-05 season.

  Schmidt, also a captain, led the Warriors with 31 points on 13 goals and 18 assists in 36 games. He was a second team honoree.

  In Hockey East league play, Schmidt tied for fourth in scoring among all defensemen with 15 points on five goals and ten assists in 24 games. ... (MORE)
