RIP Ned Bunyon

I'm guessing most people have heard this already -- but sad news as long time referee Ned Bunyon passed away last week. Mike had the link on his blog and it reminded me.

I only ever chatted briefly with him a couple of times over the years but he seemed like quite a personable guy, and clearly loved college hockey -- hockey in general.

And of course his son Jeff became an official too and one of the top referees in college hockey, being selected to call a number of NCAA regional and Frozen Four games.

Thoughts and prayers go out to the Bunyons...
